One of his last CDs before
his tragic death in Santa Fe, Ruben Romero
created a holiday masterpiece that merged
his soul-stirring flamenco guitar with
Native American flute on several cuts, but
perhaps his greatest achievement is his
soul-stirring transcription of Tchaikovsky's
"Nutcracker Suite" for flamenco guitar.
Ruben's performance is so seamless it sounds
as if Tchaikovsky had grown up eating pozole
and green peppers.
